Lincoln turns one

Serendipity is one of the best dimensions of life. Years ago I photographed a wedding in Mexico. The couple were Windsorites, as were most of their guests. I met Jess while hanging out in a pool on that destination wedding shoot. We became instant friends. 

Since then, I’ve been their (with her husband Lucas) family photographer ever since. I shot their engagement, wedding, babies being born, and all the fun in between. So of course they called me when their second born, Lincoln, was having his first birthday party. 

Savannah Jean (SJ just like me!) is pure joy and pure sass. As the older sister to Lincoln, she runs the show. He didn’t get to open one of his gifts, since Savannah took over that hallowed task. Poor Lincoln doesn’t stand a chance! 

Since his birthday was during COVID, the party was just a small family backyard gathering. But it was big on love and joy. Jess is all about the small touches — they were perfect! 

It was truly exciting to get to see Lincoln take a few steps on his own during the party. He wanted nothing to do with wearing his birthday hat, but we got it on him while he was eating cake. And then came bath time. 

These small parties are monumental in the hearts of my clients and their loved ones.
